Bird Feeders
There are many different types of bird feeders.  Window birdfeeders or hummingbird feeders are among some of the more popular used in gardens around the country.

Did you know that hummingbird feeders are a great source of food for these wild hummingbirds.  Hummingbird feeders provide extra nectar as these birds often find it difficult to find a steady supply of nectar due to climatic conditions.

With a hummingbird feeder or other type of bird feeders you first need to place these bird feeders close to flowers to attract the attention of birds.  Once these bird feeders are visited regularly you can move them to a more strategic position for viewing.

Whether it is hummingbird feeders, window birdfeeders or one of the many other types of bird feeders you need to keep a supply of clean fresh water at all times.  This will encourage the birds to visit your bird feeders and allow you to enjoy the display of birds.

Birdfeeders and wild bird feeders
Birdfeeders can be very educational for both adults and children alike.  With bird feeders in your garden bird watching can be very interesting.  Hummingbird feeders too are very soothing and entertaining as you can spend hours watching the birds flitter between the hummingbird feeders and wild birdfeeders.

Children learn about nature and can start journal naming the type of birds being attracted to the birdfeeders.  They expand their knowledge concerning what seeds to put in the birdfeeders to attract which species and learn about the nectar of the hummingbird feeders.  They can event learn how to weigh the bird seed for the bird feeders or measure the liquid for the hummingbird feeders.

I have seen children’s interest sparked to begin drawing the different birds visiting the bird feeders and hummingbird feeders.

Nature has a lot to teach and with birdfeeders and hummingbird feeders in your garden you have a first hand chance to observe the birds up close.

Tips -Hummingbird Feeders
As you know ants and bees are attracted to the bird feeders in your garden especially the hummingbird feeders. A handy tip is to use bee guards on your hummingbird feeders and coat them with petroleum jelly.

Another easy remedy is to have two or more bird feeders. Fill one with a highly concentrated solution and have other bird feeders with regular solution. The ants and bees will swarm the hummingbird feeders with the concentrate leaving the other bird feeders free for the birds.

Bird feeders attract wild birds to your garden.  Hummingbird feeders make great window birdfeeders.

Thinking of attracting wild birds?  Hummingbird feeders or window birdfeeders are an excellent choice. Bird feeders such as the country lodge window birdfeeders or the flashy hummingbird feeders will help attract a variety of species.
